The road to Tabgha, April 2014
We were driving in the direction of the Golan Heights towards Tabgha, when I saw a landscape that touched my heart very deeply, because it reminded me of our very own African Savannah land of soft colours of subdued raw sienna and yellow ochre dotted by the occasional dark green tree. Here the thorns were not casting shade like our Acacia trees for animals. They swayed blatantly in the open in their alluring royal colours, laying their claim to a land that will one day be Holy.
