The road to Tabgha, April 2014

We were driving in the direction of the Golan Heights towards Tabgha, when I saw a landscape that reminded me of our African Savannah. Soft colours of subdued raw sienna and yellow ochre dotted by dark green. Here the thorns swayed blatantly in the open in their alluring royal colours, laying claim to land that will one day be holy.
